This piece of music was composed for the feature film, “Disavowal,” written and directed by Matt Maniaci. George is investigating a lie told to him by fellow classmate Renee.
By the end of the film George is completely lost. He imagines himself kissing one of Renee’s friends. Our job was to score something slight under this dream sequence. Sometimes one of the hardest things to do is to tone yourself down and that’s exactly what we were asked to do: Provide a feeling through the use of as few instruments as possible, and while using those instruments minimally, provoke something powerful.
