Sometimes we escape the everyday through our work and imaginations. We escape to someplace, “fair,” as the main character in the short film, “Whitey,” says when he walks out on an argument with his girlfriend. We at HPK Music like to think we have a “sound,” that’s all our own. However, part of what we do is blend in. In the film, the main character walks out on an argument that’s all too familiar. Deeming it easier to leave, rather than stay and work it out, he chooses to go for a late night walk. What happens on the outside causes him to think; “Maybe I’ve got a second shot. Things aren’t always supposed to be easy.” The result lingers as an after thought, as the boyfriend leaves his apartment. Director: Michael Tisdale
